Introducing young children to botany, raising awareness in the general public about preserving nature, sharing its knowledge on the plant world, these are the founding elements in the Klorane Botanical Foundation's education objective. Dispensing pharmacists, botanical gardens and conservatoires, networks of universities and botanists all support the foundation in these efforts.
In order to help children discover the plant universe, a collection of educational materials is available: posters, guides, school manuals, etc. To do this, the Klorane Botanical Foundation regularly develops themes which it finds important: plants, biodiversity and sustainable development, food, mushrooms, etc.
In addition, exhibition days given over to botany and mycology are held occasionally in France, in partnership with the key environmental players. For example, staying true to the regular gatherings of amateur or informed mycologists, the Klorane Botanical Foundation takes part in the "Salon du champignon" (mushroom fair) in association with the Natural History Museum in Toulouse, the faculty of pharmacy, and mycological organisations, as part of the "La Novela" festival of shared knowledge.
Finally, the partnership with the Tela Botanica network means that Interactive Science programmes can be offered to the general public (Observatoire des Saisons - Observatory of the Seasons - a study on wild plants in cities, provision of very comprehensive interactive flora), to help enhance the knowledge of local nature and facilitate citizen commitment to protect it.
